Всё это в историческом фильме, в котором тесно переплелись целые эпохи, благодаря чему зритель оказывается в невообразимом водовороте приключений, вечной борьбы за души людей и всепобеждающей магии любви. «Распятые» - художественный фильм, основанный на запрещенных в разное время записках Льва Толстого. Религиозные убеждения и инквизиторские гонения, страх в глазах людей и их вера в справедливость, любовь и ненависть, природа и человек. Все эти темы нашли свое отражение в картине-фантасмогории.
Bolshevists aim to set their rules on the lands of the Western Ukraine repeatedly occupied by them. UPA – the partisan army – resists their policy. Civil population becomes a hostage of this war "without rules", and above all – relatives of the insurgents. Invaders and their allies cruelly torture Ukrainian people, but the struggle continues. Irritated, "bolshevists" start evicting people to Siberia. UPA tries to prevent this action, but the forces are not equal... Insurgents can only take revenge and punish the executioners.
Ukraine. The end of the XV century. All gunpowder made in factories suddenly disappears. The company of cossacks led by Maksym Trytuz comes together to find one of the transports that carries gunpowder to the Zaporozhian Sich.
