Two doctors, Robert and Siska, are assigned to a village in the area of Bromo but their presence creates conflict. The villagers, who normally consult a shaman for their health issues, are not used to modern medical doctors. The tension tises when a patient who used to be treated by shaman, dies and there’s nothing that Robert can do. Meanwhile, Siska suffers an unexplainable illness and also dies. Strange illnesses then start to emerge in surrounding villages. Finally, the doctor and the shaman help each other. When the shaman is dying, the doctor treats him.
City students come to the village for KKN with all their arrogance and pretentiousness, led by a fat student named Joe (Didi Petet). Many problems arise, starting from Budi (James Lapian) and Imam (Leroy Oesmani) who are not doing KKN well, but instead competing for a beautiful village flower named Neneng (Deasy Ratnasari). Likewise with Pinky (Meriam Bellina) and May (Sylvana Herman) who went down to the village as if they were going to shop at an elite shop. Their arrival also made the village hoodlums feel angry, so that the KKN activities were disturbed.
Dono, Kasino, Indro all find girlfriends through a dating agency. Although the relationships didn't do well for the three of them. And Dono is almost fired when he overuses the company’s phone to call his girlfriend, Rita, whose suddenly disappears and leaves a baby under Dono’s care. Comedy is then focused around the baby, reminiscent of the film, “Three Men and a Baby”.

The story begins with a commotion in court during the trial session of a wild girl who was involved with pornographic photos when a former nurse appeared to reveal that the girl was the daughter of a famous tycoon in Jakarta. Meanwhile, the rich man's daughter who had just gotten married was the biological child of the wild girl's mother, who was a prostitute. The two were exchanged when their newborns were in the hospital.
A melodramatic suffer-fest that would give Lars von Trier pause. On a quest to find her biological father, teenager Yeni is sidetracked when she's raped by her stepfather and ends up in a nuthouse. After she's released, her prostitute sister takes her to work at a brothel. There, she becomes second wife to an old, miserable man until her stepfather returns and tries to lay claim on her. After unsuccessfully trying to strangle Yeni to death, he and Yeni's mother get in a fight and end up stabbing each other to death. Once Yeni finds out she's pregnant, she's then rejected by her miserly husband, who denies the child is his.
Structured as a film within a film, Rhoma Irama and his girlfriend, Aida, are hired to make a film by Leo and his right hand, Richard. While Rhoma has several shows in the same city, Leo pursues his criminal activities. For him, moviemaking is a camoulflage for his crimes. Richard, who is still in love with Aida, tries to separate Rhoma from the girl. While filming a scene, Rhoma is stabbed for real. While Rhoma is in hospital, Imron, a Rhoma impersonator is introduced. Then a scenario is written for Richard to get Aida. Later, Rhoma impersonates Imron and pulls Imron’s girlfriend Nina out from prostitution. Finally, Rhoma is able to solve the whole drama and Aida is back in his arms. Rhoma’s songs, which are his trademark and selling point, continue to be used.
Dhalia was an Indonesian actress active for over fifty years. She was nominated for three Citra Awards at the Indonesian Film Festival, winning one.
