Orgon is living the good life. He has status, money and a loving family. But he felt that the soul needed a spiritual boost that would give his life meaning. He brings Tartuffe into his home, a man filled with faith and principles that Orgon sees as half God. From that moment on, the family goes into complete turmoil, and no one is able to open Orgon's eyes to the fact that he might be a fraud.
Yair, an ultra-Orthodox Yeshiva student, opens an electronics shop in "Geula", a neighborhood that is the shopping epicenter for the entire ultra-Orthodox community in Jerusalem. The religious character of the neighborhood is enforced by the "Geula Committee" and Yair strictly adheres to their rules. Gadi, who recently lost his mother, is afraid of losing his father as well. He feels he finally has the chance to do something meaningful; to become a man and stand on his own. He's furious with the committee's decision and sets out to fight for his right to save his father's life. Through the film's portrayal of a relationship full of love, rejection and co-dependency, it manages to shed some light and question the importance of human life, human connection and if life is even possible without it either one of them.
