Kasper Berntsen is a successful stand-up comedian, who has everything he could wish for. One day everything changes. He learns that he has a serious illness, and his girlfriend puts an end to it.
A dangerous criminal, named Falken, robs a bank together with a redneck small-criminal. They have to take a hostage and escape in a racing boat. When the hostage jumps overboard they have to stay at a lighthouse to wait for a boat. Here the conflicts starts.
Petter Næss is the director of Elling which was Oscar nominated in 2000. Otherwise he has primarily busied himself in the world of plays and revues, both as scriptwriter, director and actor. Since 1997 he has been employed as a director at Oslo New Theatre, and was, among other plays, responsible for the critically-acclaimed stage version of Elling and Kjell Bjarne.
