Documents former Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff's visit to the the women's alley of Tiradentes Jail in the city of São Paulo, also known as "Torre das Donzelas" ("Damsels' Tower"). Alongside other women, Dilma was kept as prisoner in there during the 1970s, when Brazil was under a reign of terror during its military dictatorship years. They all meet again 45 years later to break the silence and the fear of speaking out the horrors they lived under a ruthless dictatorship.

Telmo is a retired theater director that realizes he doesn't remember the time he spent kept in jail during the military dictatorship in Brazil. He decides to stage a play and, with threads of memory, he improvises the lines with his young cast. Telmo dives into his own history and ends up revealing for himself what, being so painful, he'd rather forget.

Biography

Rosemeire "Rose" Nogueira Clauset (Jacareí, February 12, 1946) is a Brazilian journalist. During the Brazilian military regime, she was a member of the National Liberation Action (ALN), having been imprisoned between November 1969 and July 1970, when she was Dilma Rousseff's cellmate.
