Christmas Eve at the 14th precinct. While his colleagues go on duty, Dirk Matthies takes off. He has logged off from everyone to escape the Christmas hustle and bustle and enjoy a cozy solo evening on board his ship in peace and quiet. But then something bangs on the ship's planks which, on closer inspection, turns out to be what Dirk least wanted to see that evening: Santa Claus himself is there - and looks quite confused. After a moment's hesitation, Dirk agrees to drive the chaotic old man to his first job.
